Kanchanaburi Land

Does anyone have any accurate knowledge on Kanchanburi land prices.

Interested in river frontage mainly, can be some distance from town and preferable really.

I looked at some several months ago and funny thing was that before we departed KB to view the land, we were told it was like 200k a rai, then when we arrived it went up to 700k a rai immediately the owners saw white boys emerge from the car lol.

Hi, I have been looking and trying to buy some land along the river for the last 4 years and have given up.

Land with chanote is extremely hard to find and will usually start at 500k per rai minimum. Been asked anything up to 2 million for land in town which seems a bit of a joke to me.

And before you say farang price wifey has done the looking and bargaining with me keeping a low profile.

What I found most frustrating is that people will try and sell you land that they do not actually own.

'Have chanote soon' is something you will probably hear alot. Remember alot of the land along the river is government land so will never be for sale.

And if there is chanote then that will make the land very valuable.

The further upstream you go the less likely you are to find tiltled land too.

Trying to find land for sale is quite difficult as there are few estate agents/realtors in Kan.

One thats okish is Condominium Land & House(think I have the name right) about 50m from the bridge. Very keen sales lady there showed me around for a day for no charge. Think her name was Gung/Kung? but not sure.

Talking to people about land along the river is frustrating too. Their idea of land next to the river may be very different to yours. Make sure before a long drive that it is actually right on the river or you may find youself looking at a field half a mile away.

Good luck anyway, if you find somewhere for a good price I will be very jealous as on the river would make a beautiful place to live.
