does anyone knows about the Annual Prison Furniture Show/Sale in Bangkok, When and which prison is being held (some time in March)

Google is smart but I wouldn't bother going to a fair that ended on the 11th of March 2012.

You might be disappointed.

They have one of these every year in Chiang Mai, it's very good and some of the furniture is very well made.

Its always best to go as soon as it opens, some stuff is limited supply, i.e. when it's gone it's gone.

do you have to be an inmate to attend, if so its seems a bit drastic just to get a good table.

There is also the forestry Dept furniture show that sells Teak furniture in June and July.

Bangkok in December'14. So I guess it will be for a while for Bangkok event.

It's in Klong Prem prison compound near Ngam wong ngam road inside you can get good bargain mostly wood products the date not sure as it have very often.

or you just want to visit them for a few months / years and have all the furniture at your hand

Been there. Pretty low quality. Good enough for a patio or dorm room type stuff.

More like a handyman type than a craftsman type quality.
