Love how one of the initial photo reports is a wat.. You can see the authorities rushing out to that one to fine the abbot and the the temple cant you ??

Only thing is it ought to be bilingual, ie include Thai language as well, since obviously most Facebook users in Chiang Mai are Thai. You might argue that foreigners are more likely to report, but that's no reason not to open the potential communications a lot wider.

I suspect there is probably already a Thai equivalent, which is why they didn't bother.

Until one of these fires burns down the homes of all the poo yais in the country, nothing is ever going to change. The laws are already on the books, but as usual, the inept and unwilling police do nothing year after year after year.
