Pattaya Tourist Police arrest Hardware Shop theft suspect

PATTAYA: -- A former cleaner of a Hardware Shop in South Pattaya was arrested by Pattaya Tourist Police on Monday Night following allegations she stole over 300,000 Baht’s worth of items from the shop she was employed to clean.

An arrest warrant was issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court for Khun Sukawadee aged 50 based on strong evidence, including security camera footage, that she was responsible for the theft of items such as power tools and cutting equipment from the store.

And why are the Tourist Police involved in this case?? Nothing else to do??!!

There had to be one, didn't there?

The Tourist Police are police, why shouldn't they be involved? The Tourist Police do have more than four officers in their division so maybe the rest of them were doing what you think they should be doing.

Oh, sorry, maybe you are involved in the delegation of duties for the RTP.

Why are the tourist police involved? I thought their designated role was to help tourists. If they got involved at some stage for any valid reason they should have passed the administration of the case on to the non tourist police. I see this misuse of the Tourist Police, who are supposed to be there to assist and advise visitors to the country stepping away from their remit and designated role, more and more often now. When messing around with this case they were not available to assist, help or advise tourists who needed their help. This is wrong.
