I get by on 30,000 a month - that includes rent 3000, car payments 9000, daughters school 3000. Internet, electricy and other bills about 5000.

I'd say about 10,000 would be plenty - depends how much you have though. More thatn 20,000 - too much.

We have plenty of money, but live comfortably on 15,000 a month. We live 35 km. outside KK, and I would guess our neighbors live on around 6,000 to 8,000 a month.

My wife is like Bronco's, probably worse, she' downright tight with our money. I turn the lights on and she's right behind me shutting them off. She does the laundry outside at 4am in the dark!

There are many apartments outside the city that rent for 1,000 baht or less a month.
