Speed Signs

Featured Replies

Has anyone noticed the new speed signs along Bypass Road, 50km/h????? Not only is it over kill as they are placed every 200metres, but 50k/mh? Suburban road speed? Watch out, someone must need some revenue.

+1, was wondering same thing today. Legit speed limit there should be 90km/h... noone's ever driving 50k on that road, gotta wait for a speeding ticket arriving soon wink.png

50kph? That's a crawl for that race track. Is it just for the construction or permanent?

It looks like permanent because it is along the complete Bypass. Saw it 2 days ago, first thought of mine, driving only 50 there is like a deathtrap.

Also at Chao fa west, and yes, looks permanent.

Saw them yesterday on the bypass but nobody taking any notice including farang on 3 wheel m/c who was doing about 90. I agree with 50 in built up areas with homes around but the bypass does not need it just now. Good excuse for revenue raising but if strictly enforced will further slow trips to & from the north of the island. If it saves lives then fine.

what a blissful idiot... instead of taking care of real safety issues, like old/bad road markings, ineffective/missing traffic lights, lack of any rules enforcement whatsoever, thousands of unlicenced bimbos on the roads... he chose to put ADVISORY speed signs that do precisely NOTHING in Phuket in general and on that road in particular...

There is no hope. Everyone be safe on the roads.
