Wooden Sliding Gate

Featured Replies

Morning All

I am after having a hardwood wooden gate made. I have the metal sliding part

Any idea where I can get this made in Hua Hin

The best way is to have a (stainless)steel frame made and attach the wood on that, this way your gate will not bent or warp depending on the season.

There are plenty of places to have this done, there are a few between Hua-hin and Cha-am.

We have a gate like this ourselves and i was advised by a shop owner to do it like this,i am glad i did because the gate has served for 8 years without any problems.

Yeah thanks but who did you get to do the wooden bit

The same shop who made the gate also attached the wood and treated it.They brought it over when finished and installed it,i had them come over to take the size and work out any issues beforehand.

I just told them what and how i wanted it and it worked out great.

I am sure they make gates like this all the time and the woodwork is no issue but i have seen newer gates with a fake wood that looks just as good.

Just look on the internet for an example and they will be able to make it.

Thank you for your advice. Can you tell me the name of the firm who made yours and where they are located and if you don't mind approximately how much it cost
