Two Kuwaiti Nationals arrested in Koh Samui

KOH SAMUI: -- On Friday police in Koh Samui announced the arrest of Vezam Kamal Murad, 28 and Mohammad Yahya Murad, 37, from Kuwait. The men were in possession of two fake Turkish passports as well as stolen cash and goods including a 20,000 baht Rolex watch.

The two men had previously checked into a luxury Phuket hotel where it has been reported they approached a wealthy man from the Middle East. After gaining his trust the pair stole cash and valuables with a net worth of around one million baht. They then fled to Koh Samui.

While in Koh Samui they stole a credit card from a tourist which they use to withdraw 20,000 baht in cash, the victim of this crime reported the theft to the Bophut police station.

When local police in Koh Samui checked with the Kuwaiti embassy they discovered the men were wanted on arrest warrants issued in Bangkok and Pattaya.

The two men are also being held on charges of illegal entry to Thailand and using false travel documents. Their application to be released on bail has been opposed in the court.

For sure, the real ones cost between 1500-2000 THB hahaha

The Koh Samui police didn't bother checking within the RTP (Bangkok/Pattaya/Phuket) as well? Suggests some dysfunction? whistling.gif
