KOH SAMUI: -- Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) confirmed that the Songkran Festival in Koh Samui “COCO SONGKRAN @ KOH SAMUI 2015″ is still on despite the bomb incident at the Samui Central Festival Mall’s parking lot and a fire at CO-OP, Surat Thani last night.

The bomb incident at Samui Central Festival’s parking lot and the fire at CO-OP Surat Thani injured 7 people, 4 females and 3 males who were sent to the hospital and are now recovering from their injuries.

After the bomb incident at the underground parking lot of Samui Central Festival Mall on the night of April 10, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to inform residents and tourists that the Songkarn activities on April 13 are not cancelled. Also, the “COCO Songkarn @ Koh Samui” festival which starts today until April 16 is still on. Anyone who is interested and would like more information can contact TAT Call Center in Koh Samui 077-420504.

Like I said before it was conveniently wiped, drove through Chaweng and Lamai last night, all bars and restaurants were closed and things will stay this way, despite what TAT and the "spokesman" from the govt. spout.

Well if it had been Pattaya I may well have believed the the motive of the bomber was to cancel Songkran. coffee1.gif
