Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha addressed the public in a live TV broadcast yesterday morning to announce the achievements of his government over the last six months. According to the prime minister, Thailand’s future is bright.

The prime minister outlined the government’s achievements in 11 key areas. He noted the country’s potential for research and development and his ordered production of electric train cars. Gen Prayut also touched on the criticism he has received, stating that scrutiny will only make him work harder and be stricter with laws.

Gen Prayut also noted that all of the issues Thailand is facing have improved and that he is ready to use the powers granted under Section 44 to further improve the country.

The prime minister also stated that elections will be held once the new constitution is propagated and that he had no plans to stay in power for long.

Gen Prayut noted the country’s economic growth in his speech, stating that Thailand’s economy had expanded during the last three quarters of 2014. He stated that the government’s plan to stimulate the economy was a success, and groundwork is being laid for future sustainable development in key areas, including transport, infrastructure and water management.

I'm more interested in point 6, as it seems he forgot to inform the Thai chamber of commerce about it.
