Hair And Makeup

Featured Replies

Anyone know where in Bangkok I could get hair and makeup done for a photo shoot? I don't want to say a complete makeover, but maybe that would be the proper name for it. It would be good if they could actually take photos too, but that parts not necessary. What kind of place am I looking for?...I'm not even sure what these places are called as I think hair and makeup goes a little beyond a photo studio or salon (maybe not?).

Also, anybody have an idea what it costs for hair and makeup to get done?

I hope I articulated myself well enough...I'm not even exactly sure what I'm looking for!

It sounds like what you are looking for is what in the US used (maybe still is) to called Glamour Shots. This was a studio that did makeup outfits and poses that made even the most average looking person look very good. I think just about every photo studio in Bangkok (and probably the entire Thailand) is able to do this. I cannot recommend one in particular; suggest you go talk to a couple.

Hi,

There are a few at The Mall.

They make really nice pictures and have different clothes available.

They will do nice make up for the wife and you so you look very handsome/beautifull.

On request they will photoshop and remove all the wrinkles and any other not wanted features

of yourself and partner.

Have been looking at a shoot and was amazed how the pictures came out.

In my experience the Thai's tend to be very detailed and when looking at the guy that was Photoshopping the pic's he spend a lot of time making the pics look so wonderfull.

Yes I was really impressed.

And not expensive!

My wife likes the one in Chiang Mai in the Bazzar - the covered bit above the artists. Make up and traditional Thai clothes and excellent photos - negatives given too so you can make remakes/copies or scan in to a PC. They wouldn't take our kids when they were babies though as they were afraid the flash would hurt thier eyes :o
