Dutch lawmaker tells migrants not to come to Netherlands

Legal Execution Department defends Kirimaya auction

Bangkok: – The Legal Execution Department has issued a rigorous justification for its auction of Khao Yai plots which have later been developed into Kirimaya Resort before the discovery of unlawful land rights documentation.


LED director general Ruenvadee Suwanmongkol said her department had strictly followed legal and judicial procedures on asset liquidation.

Manhunt launched for undertaker

Chiang Mai:- Police have launched a hunt for a female undertaker who allegedly sold an infant corpse to a black-magic practitioner.


The suspect is identified only as “Boon”.

“We have to find her. Stealing or selling a corpse is illegal,” Provincial Police Region 5 commissioner Lt General Tanitsak Thirasawat told Thairath on Wednesday after he interrogated a self-confessed practitioner of black magic.

34 taxis rounded up for rejecting passengers

Bangkok:- Tourist police managed to arrest 34 taxi drivers in Bangkok in just one night after they rejected passengers.


The operation to arrest the drivers for rejecting passengers was launched at 11 pm Wednesday by Pol Col Artchayon Kraithong, deputy commander of the Tourist Police Division.

NLA member inaugurates workshop in promotion of 'democratic youths'

BANGKOK, 23 April 2015 (NNT) – The head of the National Legislative Assembly's (NLA) committee on commerce, industry and labour has spoken in favor of "Democratic Youth" activities and asked youths to adhere to the teaching of His Majesty the King.


General Singsuk Singpai, President of the standing committee on Commerce, Industry and Labour, has organized a workshop promoting youth participation in the drive to create reconciliation and a strong democracy. The workshop, held for the second time this year, is being held between April 21 and 30 at TOT Academy.

Gen. Singsuk spoke favorably of the success of the first workshop, and indicated that the second workshop currently taking place was similarly meant to build on youth's knowledge on reconciliation and political participation. He said the workshop also sought to give youths the experience of co-existing within a diverse society and instill an attitude of growing up to be complete adults based on the teachings of His Majesty the King.

The NLA member also asked participating youths to help preserve the Thai identity.

Malaysian man arrested for using fake credit cards

Bangkok:- Immigration police have arrested a Malaysian man for having allegedly used fake credit cards to buy luxurious goods with intent to take them back to sell in Malaysia.

The arrest of Chia Bing Hah, 24, was announced at the press conference room of the immigration office at the Don Mueang International Airport at 11 pm Wednesday by Pol Col Nattee Mahuemueang, the commander of the Don Mueang immigration office.

Chile volcano erupts for first time in decades

40 passengers injured in bus crash in Buri Ram
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- A Bangkok-Ubon Ratchathani air-conditioned bus overturned on a road in Buri Ram's Prakone Chai district at 2 am Thursday, injuring 40 passengers.

Thirteen of them, including two kids under 5 years old, were badly injured. The injured were rushed to the Prakone Chai Hospital and six with severe conditions were passed on to the Buri Ram Hospital.

The driver told police that the road was slippery because in was under construction and there were heavy rains at the moment.

Mexican girl wrongly sent to US returns to celebration

Most Thais support referendum on draft charter: survey

BANGKOK: -- An opinion survey among 1,254 people nationwide by the National Institute of Development Administration found that 64.91 per cent of the respondents want to vote in a public referendum on the draft charter.

NIDA said 11.32 per cent disagree with holding of a referendum while 23.77 per cent are not sure. The survey was carried out on Tuesday and Wednesday.

NLA begins impeachment deliberation against Boonsong

BANGKOK: -- The National Legislative Assembly Thursday began an impeachment deliberation against former commerce minister Boonsong Teriyapirom, former deputy commerce minister Phum Sarapol, and former director general of Foreign Trade Department.

The deliberation began at 9:25 am when the National Anti-Corruption Commission told the NLA that the three had collaborated to fake government-to-government rice deals to benefit some Thai rice traders.
