Predicted heavy rainstorms from China cause widespread damage in Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- As predicted, a High Pressure Weather system from China has begun to affect Pattaya and on Wednesday Morning a period of heavy and sustained rainfall and high winds caused significant damage around Pattaya.

Over 300 Sign Boards along the main Suklhumvit Road were destroyed and one of the worst affected areas was Soi Tungklom-Tanman in East Pattaya where pylons carrying electric cables fell onto the road, in what witnesses described as a “domino effect”.

The road became completely impassable and a number of parked vehicles were damaged.

Very localised and mostly south of Banglamung.... hardly any rain where I live 12 km North.

Sign boards, mostly placed casually for advertising purposes are a danger.
