Google Maps Bangkok & Toll Roads

Featured Replies

Hello..

Does anyone know if I select 'avoid tolls' on google Maps whether this will do the trick in terms of avoiding all the roads in Bangkok where motorcycles are not allowed?

If not can anyone advise on a GPS I can buy on the apple App Store that ensure I don't drive on motorcycle restricted roads?

Thanks,

Percy

Mostly? It will avoid all the toll roads, but there are a couple bridges like Rama 8 that aren't toll roads but bikes aren't allowed. Otherwise you should be good.

Hi I use Here drive plus its better than Google but not sure if its on Apple ios using windows phone . Hope this helps .!!

Download a 7 day full function free copy of Sygic Navigation on iPad or Samsung.

One super feature is that the maps are downloaded to your device so the navi works even if there is no internet connection. The device must have GPS receivers though.

After the 7 days spoken responses and a few other things stop working but the navi still works.

Of course,if you buy it they are good again.

There are numerous roads you can't drive on.  Even if you select AVOID TOLLS and AVOID HIGHWAYS Google maps does not avoid motorcycle restricted roads completely.
