Can't answer to the weight/number. of boxes issue, but as to which courier the answer is...NONE. Use the regular post. If concerned about loss, send by registered mail. If concerned about speed, send EMS, but in both instances, via the general postal service, not a courier.

Thanks Sheryl,

I've been to the Normal post office Today and thought it was pretty expensive so I'm trying to look elsewhere ..

Sending a ladies Handbag to the UK.. It weighs 1.1kg and they want 1400 baht that's for 4 Days delivery and Tracking down to 600 Baht and no Tracking and takes from 15 Days to upto 1 month for delivery..

Handbag was only 1000 baht so the postage costs is pretty high..

As stated above I wouldnt use any form of courier, pretty much guaranteed to get hit with Import duty aswell.

Use either the Registered Airmail, or EMS Express, both from the Thai Post service.

Here is there rate guide to assist you.

Hi Charlie,

Just looked at that website and it looks like it's cheaper to send 10kg rather than 1kg boxes..

5000 Baht for 10 Kg And 1400 baht for a 1kg Box.. It's a No Brainer if that's correct...

Thanks for taking time out to answer my Queary

Fedex has best deals for 10 kg box.

It must be their box.

Price works out to be cheaper than Thailand post and gets there in 3 days.

I assume the 1400 Baht was for EMS. Try registered mail, will give you the same tracking benefits but takes maybe 3 days more, and will cost probably half .

Look at international small packet air= cost is something like 700 Baht with the extras like registration.

Wrong ! based on 1.1kg parcel

120 baht difference Plus extra if you add Registered service to track it etc.

A small packet/box is approx: 7 x 5 x 1 inch, not much bigger than a paperback novel. The size is stipulated on the box sizes available at the Thai Post office lettered A, B etc

Certainly not big enough for a handbag!
