I thank you very much but yours is a HP link and HP does not have any driver for Windows 7. In the past I had an alternate to HP basic driver for my scanner but It got corrupted.

Install the app, then have to go run it in compatibility mode for XP.

Their Vista 64-bit driver works with Windows 7 64-bit. Then I just use the utility provided in Devices and Printers.

but on looking more closely i note that your scanner is not supported for 7 a workaround as has been mentioned is the answer gl.
