Thai Passport Questions

Featured Replies

Hi there,

My Thai wife needs to get a new Passport as her current Passport is expired. How much is it to get a new Passport and how long does it take to be issued the new Passport? We live in Pattaya.

Thanks

Took my wife down to the passport office at Chang Wattana, in about 1030 hrs, out at 1130 hrs, Monday 1 June.

Passport arrived at home Friday 5 June, via EMS.

Passport fee baht 1,000, EMS baht 40.

Mac

Passport fee baht 1,000, EMS baht 40.

My wife renewed her Thai passport in PHS while we were in LOS in May.

Were in the office for half an hour on Wednesday, 6 May and received the passport by EMS on Monday, 11 May.

Wish the service was that prompt in the UK.

Same fee as Thanyaburi Mac's wife plus 25 baht for the plastic wallet.

If you go to the Central Building Bangkok get there early as you May have a long wait, You can get an expres one but it would cost you, We Went on a Monday, returned on the following Thursday and got Her Thai passport,

You'll know it when you see it. Looks like a giant UFO.

The UFO as seen on Google streetview smile.png :

(you never stop learning: not before now I realize that Chaeng Wattana is formally part of road #304 coming down from Isan/Khao Yai)

I would call it the "glass pyramides of Bangkok", the eight wonder tongue.png
