hi girlfriend is applying for visit visa in july, we was going to ask for 4 months , trying to work out if possible to leave at the end of september and come back end of january, so to avoid high season.

is this a reasonable request to ask for 4 months on a 6 months visa , because of work is flexible as its her sisters business in korat for time off. but asking the question to clarify , 3 month or 4 does it really matter or is it

just as they feel on the day.

thanks for any response.

As you seem to be posting from the UK I assume that you are talking about a UK Visit Visa.

If your girlfriend can satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer that a four month visit is justified, taking into account the reasons for the visit, affordability and reasons for return then a visa will be issued.

In any case visas that allow multi entry visits over a six month period are normally issued, though if she indicated she wanted to stay for a few weeks and at the UK Border a Border Force Officer asked to see a return ticket and it was for four months hence she could, possibly, encounter a problem.

They'll need to know which country because they aren't mind readers and if they were they wouldn't have to work in a visa office.

From the pinned topic PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING

Please remember that this is the Visas and migration to other countries forum; that is all countries except Thailand.

Therefore it will help you get relevant replies if you say which country you are asking about in the topic title.....

Some topic titles still do not include the country. Sometimes it doesn't even say in the opening post!

Please help us to help you by saying which country you are asking about in your topic title.......

I know it is obvious to you, but it's not to the rest of us!
