BANGKOK: -- Two South Korean men were arrested yesterday at a Bangkok condominium for operating an online gambling den.

Acting Makkasan superintendent Pol Col told a press conference that the suspects - identified as Ji Young Su, 35, and Yu Eung Mo, 46 - were arrested at 9.15am along with four computers, six monitor screens, three one-time password (OTP) devices to assist online transactions, four phones, two Internet hotspot devices and Bt30,000 cash.

The duo, accused of having operating an online gambling site for one month, reportedly told police that they were hired by a compatriot only identified as "Peter" to run the website, which reportedly generating Bt1 million a day, for pay of Bt90,000 a month each.
