A shocking admission by the editor of the world’s most respected medical journal, The Lancet, has been virtually ignored by the mainstream media. Dr. Richard Horton, Editor-in-chief of the Lancet recently published a statement declaring that a shocking amount of published research is unreliable at best, if not completely false, as in, fraudulent.

Also a reason why people don't trust anything anymore....also they don't trust things that are true without doubt.

Chemotherapy adds anaverage of 5 months life with all its unpleasant side effects and huge costs. Doctors are still pushing it in conivance with the drug companies.

Drugs are a multi billion dollar industry which does not want to spend any money on prevention of disease otherewise they won't be able to sell more drugs

And alot of the studies are grossly influenced - in an indirect way- by the drug companies. Look at the way Statins are being pushed....

Some people seem to think that Pharma are a benevolent organisation here for our benefit.

They want profit, only.

There is also some peer pressure. You can't go against the main stream and some political correctness.
