Alkaline Water

Featured Replies

When one considers that the stomach contains a really rather concentrated acid (resting pH is between 1 and 3), a slightly alkaline beverage will have pretty well zero effect upon, well, anything really.

and the normal body can balance the pH values perfectly.

Exactly. There is absolutely no health advantage to drinking alkaline water, that is complete quackery.

The only thing that will change if you drink a large amount of alkaline fluid -- be it water or anything else -- is the pH of your urine.

There are, however, a number of practical disadvantages to having alkaline water come out of one's tap, as I know only too well sad.png (limescale build up...hard to wash dishes as poor soap lather, can't rinse all the soap off. spots on glasses etc etc etc).

The only thing that will change is the bank account of the seller.
