Over here have the GMM-Z black box.

Using a satellite dish antenna.

Are the HD channels also being transmitted in HD via satellite?

Does the black box (not white) make any difference?

Which black box? The original system boxs had no HD capability but they have a new HD Lite version that does (and it is also black).

Believe you are asking about the normal commercial channels such as Ch03, CH07 and such? It does not seem to be clear for the small dish (Ku) band but using C-Band they seem to be broadcast in the 306 and up range (I have just checked 306 and 1 (both channel 3 same program) and 306 is much higher quality.

GMMz HD vs GMMz HD Lite set top boxes:

1. HD capable of passing 5.1 Dolby Digital //vs// HD Lite only decodes to Stereo L/R

2. HD has 2 USB Ports (front & back) //vs// HD Lite with 1 USB Port

3. HD has HDMI, SPDIF and AV-out minijack //vs// HD Lite HDMI with AV L/R Composite our RCA jacks

4. HD retails for 2490 THB //vs// HD Lite retails for 1590 THB
