Radio Broadcasts in the morning

Featured Replies

I live in the countryside near Hua Hin and Monday to Friday at 7am have to suffer one hour of very loud government radio broadcasts. There are loudspeakers everywhere. They stopped a couple of months ago but have just restarted. Anybody know why they started in the first place and why they have resumed them? All the locals are also annoyed by them.

They usually give local information, maybe that the water will be turned off or vacinations taking place, quite common throughout Thailand.....agree its a bummer especially when wanting to relax with a cuppa....where I am starts 6.30-800 everyday!!!.

In our Moo Baan. We didn't originally have them but about 8 months ago they were fitted. Starts about 7.30 - 8.30. Initially really loud but some residents complained and they turned it down.. Now it's acceptable!

Even worse when they speak Thai Lao and are still pissed from last night.
