I will be in Phuket for a while, and would like stock up on a case of beer or two rather than buying them one-by-one, so I can save some cash.

Does the jungcyelon Big C carry beer cases (and black/red cock)? Or how about the tops/rimping/carrefour market near the beach ....

I will have a motorbike, but prefer to go to a place within walking distance to the main tourist area in Patong.

Lot's of other cheaper bottle shops about Patong. Look for a place near your residence.

There are beer / spirits all over the place. Just look for the shops with cases of beer staked - they are generally speaking a much easier option than Big C / Tesco Lotus etc. They will do a free home delivery - general rule of thumb I've found is to buy more than one case. I've never found buying in bulk any cheaper than one case at a time. Makro might be cheaper but probably not worth the effort.
