beer drenched note 4 Sm-910C (asian model)

Featured Replies

ive just been imformed that because this phone wasnt purchased from samsung authorised reseller ,they wont help me to

either diagnose the problems or fix it or even help me order parts

not really unexptected because ive dealt with them before but i thought the 910C was a model that was ditributed in thai by at least some carriers

(all except true ) would be ab;e to service here

according to the serial or imei they can see its not a thai phone

im in bkk ,would have preferred samsung or do it myself but ebay will take ages to deliver the parts (i need to replace the speaker and the microphones )

any suggestions ?

dont really want to throw way a phone this value because everything else is fine etc and i dont even make calls that much

Well I'm not certain that warranty service/repair would even cover this sort of damage?

Samsung Thailand typically uses the F (Europe) variant here; they usually will not even repair a grey-market version for parts/labor as this further exacerbates their channel conflict.

I would take it to a mobile phone repair kiosk/counter in a shopping mall; they can repair everything.

Ideally, it would be best to use a known, good, trusted shop - I've used the same one in Seacon Square for years - so maybe look to friends/colleagues.neighbors for a reference?

To make it clear, I know they're is no warranty...

I intend to pay for the fixing

As far as I can Google, the 910c is the Asian exynos variant and the 910f is the American snapdragon

All this might not even matter, they might share the same microphone and speaker but I understand Samsung Thai will not work on grey imports from past history etc...

Perfectly clear, but my point was that even if this were an official Samsung Thailand variant, warranty service/repair might be denied (or charged) as this sort of accident is not normally covered in the Warranty.

I still think you could find someone here to repair it; quite honestly it probably just needs a good disassembly, cleaning and reassembly. Not sure any parts would actually have to be replaced.

Agree. I wouldn't sweat it re being unable to go through the official Samsung pathway. Just try using one of the repair shops as suggested.
