dubdubdub videograbby dot com is the easiest way I have found after years of programs. Web based and saves straight to your HD as a video file.

I've been using " 4K video downloader "

gives you a choice of video quality and will also download subtitles if available and you want them.

I've been using one for a few years, but nowadays, every Youtube I want to download seems to require a user account and password. Has something changed?

also is there a good one for downloading playlists ,

most of them seem one at a time downloads that you have to copy and past ,

but if you copy and past the playlist URL it is rejected ,

since someone went to the trouble of making up a playlist I would just like to download that and throw out the few I do not like smile.png

thanks for your advise

I can really recommend ClipGrab as I never have any issues downloading (which I experienced with heaps of others!) and I can even choose the resolution, you can download it here. As I have no cable Internet I have to use expensive True-H 3G, so I download 480p, comes out pretty clear on our 50" flat screens.

Download and install eagleget.

Install the eagleget firefox or chrome extension depending on what browser you are using.

You'll be all set to grab any video you want.
