How about revealing member IP Addresses within their posts or within their profile pages?

It might help illiminate dross posts and multiple handles being used to inflame discussion if the poster is identifiable by his/her IP Address.

Admin and moderators have access to that information.

I have a feeling the admins already have that information plus there are privacy issues. Also if behind a corporate firewall, like myself, you could have a hundred members that appear to all come from the same IP.

Yeah, most people wouldn't be happy about their IP address being there in plain view for all to see.

Data Protection Act springs to mind if they are not willing to display.

A lot of ISPs use trasnparent proxies so you can have several thousand users all appearing to come from the same IP address.
