Recent experiences with Andaman Club / Ranong?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have a multiple Tourist Visa, entered once so far, is the andaman club at Ranong out and in service still running? I read on another topic that it was only available Tuesdays and Thursdays, anyone have any very recent experience, I need to get my next entry this week. Thanks

Try checking with these guys.

I'm guessing your in Phuket?

If not you might want to consider flying to Singapore or KL and back. I recommend Tiger Air to Singapore myself. Fly late morning then take the train to town have lunch and be back for the late afternoon flight to Phuket. That's what I used to do but I don't know if Tiger's flight schedule has changed. But its a lot less stressful and takes less time than a mini-van to Ranong and back.

Call them. If you go to the club andaman website it list there office number in Bangkok. Call that number (they speak english) and then ask for the number at the pier in Ranong. Call the pier in Ranong (they also speak english) and you will have your answer straight from the horses mouth instead on relying TV bar stool experts.

Oh...and when you call them, please report back here with your fidnings.

Moving this to the Phuket forum. Perhaps some more local knowledge will help.

I was there last week and the exit/entry was very smooth. Wearing a shirt and looking presentable will make difference. They have new speedboats so the journey to the island was very fast. The cost all up was 950THB.

The old bar stool experts a beer a cig and maybe even a BJ

All cool at Andaman Club. Actually only the weather sucks.

I successfully did a Ranong/Andaman Club run today, moving from my 1st to 2nd entry on a triple entry tourist visa issued in the USA. Thus, at least today, the immigration staff there had no issue with those who have current visas and there was no confusion around the latest crackdown rules for runners. I did bring verifiable funds and an onward ticket, but was not asked to show either. It is important to note, however, that I have a new, virginal, US passport. It is hard to believe that in a world of computers it would matter, but perhaps this is seen as my first Thai visa trip ever. FYI: No other farangs were at pier or on the island.

I wouldn't say Phuket is local....it's 300 kl. from Ranong,...besides, there are plenty of Thai Visa members living here in Ranong.
