Eastern province flooded after heavy rain

CHACHOENGSAO, 9 October 2015 (NNT) - The eastern province of Chachoengsao was flooded after seven-hour long rain on Friday. Ban Pho district was hit by the flooding the most.

Apart from Ban Pho, the municipal area and many other areas across the province were affected by the floods. The province’s main road Si Sothon which passes an important commercial district was also submerged.

Large pumps had been used to directly pump the flood water out to the Bang Pakong river until the flooded areas dried out on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has reported that there will be almost widespread rain (70% of the total area) with heavy rain in some parts in Chachoengsao and other eastern provinces from 10 - 11 October 2015.
