PM’s Office minister inspects dredging project in Lampang

LAMPANG, 16 October 2015 (NNT) – Prime Minister's Office Minister M.L. Panadda Diskul inspected the Huay Saliam Reservoir Dredging Project in Lampang province.

His visit to the reservoir at Pa Khae village in Koh Kha district of the northern province followed requests from local villagers for financial aid for the dredging in order to deepen the waterway and release more water than earlier to parcels of land in the area.

The dredging project for which 1.3 million baht in funding has been provided since last fiscal year had only incurred about 650,000 baht, thus saving 52 percent of the allocated budget, according to chief district officer Siroj Nimmanpatcharin.

But local villagers for financial aid for the dredging in order to deepen the waterway? Maybe there is no real savings as the project really isn't complete.
