Badminton in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hello,

I was wondering if any of you know a competitive badminton club around Sathon, I used to play at a fairly high level a few years ago in the UK and looking to get back into the sport to improve my fitness more than anything :) I used to play a couple of leagues down from international standard.

looking for intermediate > advanced level club

Thanks a bunch

Hi Jon,

I know quite a lot about the badminton scene in BKK and Pattaya, and have regular groups in the weekday evenings and weekend afternoons. Standard varies from beginner to Thai international level so good players are very welcome.

PM me and i will give you some details and you can come along and join. We have occasional interclub matches as well.

Hi Jon, Tito court across the river has a club, and along to Sathu Pradit has another couple of good clubs. All are Thai, and all details on thaibadminton.com (in Thai).

If you want a good standard of club, friendly yet competitive, a real mixture of nationalities, I run one in Phra Kanong every Sunday 7-9pm. There is a min. skill level to join, but from what you describe that won't be a problem. The club is listed on meetup.com and facebook under Badzone, so you're welcome to come and give it a go.

On a side note, I've played at various BKK clubs and find the wait time in between games offputting.
