The new modwl is a concept called theAurus, not the corollla Altis. The website in Thailand does not show a new altis as of yet, but yes they suppose to come out with a new model for 2007 and drop the manufacture of the Altis E model. We bought the new 2006 G model. Runs and looks great. 36 miles to the gallon.

People speculate that this new Auris is the replacement for Corolla. Thai Toyota won't show anything until the car has an official launch here. Camry was 7-8 months behind New York motorshow debut. Expect the same or even longer with Corolla. They will have to make it into a sedan for Thai market.

I really don't think they will do away with the Altis. The Auris is ugly.
