There are limits with routers.

You could install a repeater.

We have a big house and the previous owners installed a repeater so the wifi can be reached anywhere. I just havent plugged ours in yet but looks like this and the manual can be found online.

Which type do you have?

Never found a company with any competence here in Hua Hin for this stuff. I think you have three options....

1) Use Powerline (I recommend Dlink or TP-Link) extenders that plug into your existing router, and use the electrical wiring in your house to take the signal to other locations. Can be bought online at http://www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=dlink+powerline

2) Do the research and get your range extenders setup properly. This is not easy, I am pretty proficient in this stuff, and I had a lot of trouble getting my Dlink to work for extended periods of time, and gave up. It was an old model from a few years ago, and the new ones may be better.

3) If the range is just beyond your current router, buy a better router. I bought the ASUS AC3200 6 antenna model, and it is great, and I have internet almost everywhere in my very large house. http://www.lazada.co.th/asus-tri-band-wireless-ac3200-gigabit-router-rt-ac3200-black-1626961.html Note that this router can be purchased at Pantip Plaza in Bangkok for 9500 Baht, so Lazada is expensive method to purchase, but convenient. Also note that this model does not have a Modem built-in, so you need to use your ISP's modem and hook that into this router.

I love the ASUS setup and software, but wish it had the ADSL Model built-in. One positive in this is that when I switch to Fibre soon, I can just switch Fibre Modem's instead of having an ADSL port wasted on the router.

Good luck!!!

Tom

Some basic things to think about.

The antenna(s) on your router should be straight up and down, not horizontal or touching anything metal.

Your can get a app on your smart phone that shows you which WiFi channels are being used my your neighbors. Use a unused channel.

The higher your router is up in the air, the better the coverage. If your router is on the floor or under your flat screen your signal will be degraded.

The center of a two storey house is a better location than the far corner of the first floor.
