Flash flood and inundation alert for people living along Lamtakhong riverbanks

The Chief of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Mr. Jiraphong It-thiphakdi (จิระพงศ์ อิทธิภักดิ์), has warned people living along both sides of Lamtakhong (ลำตะคอง) riverbanks of possible inundation.

Mr. Jiraphong said the office was urged to warn residents living in flood-prone areas along Lamtakhong riverbanks of flash flood and inundation as heavy rain is hitting the province.

Houses located at around one-kilometer radius away from the river are recommended to stay alert of inundation.

He, moreover, has recommended that watchmen should be also stationed during the night to continuously monitor the situation in order to alert people of possible dangers immediately.
