Chaofa East traffic lights out today

Featured Replies

Wasn't it great? No traffic on chaofa or side roads. Seems like the only reason we have traffic of any kind is those stupidly timed lights and slow people who take 2km to get to 35km/h.

Drove the whole way 4 times with the lights out and the most cars ive seen was on the one that connects easts/west. 3 cars and 1 motorbike waiting (that was at 4:05pm).

Yes, it was terrific. Due to electric poles/lines being worked on by many electric company cranes/trucks the power was off to multiple traffic lights. I drove into Phuket Town about 12.00 and back again without any traffic backing up due to traffic lights.

phuket's traffic 'planners' will not rest until every minor soi and private driveway has its own traffic light, each timed to make sure you just miss the next light on the main road.

And the bad news is that signs appeared on north and south side of the Chalong Circle, I guess they are construction warning signs in orange color.

If they start the underpass, being optimist, maybe they will think in 6 months already about a diversion road for those coming from the south.

they should just buy out the shops around the circle, tis not like any of them actually thrive? People can't stop or park and everything si always empty.

I agree that buying up the whole thing would be easiest. But all those shops are rented out and some are doing good business.

I bet you're talking about the circle bar

You just lost your bet.
