Earthquake Last Night , Anybody Feel It.

Featured Replies

Hi,

Yeah, I was up for that one. It still hasn't shown up at BKK Post or The Nation websites. Nobody's got any info. I live in Pattaya. I felt a single bump at around 4:12. I've felt these before in Hawaii and California. I was pretty sure it was an earthquake, so I started checking the iris site, and others.

It took a little while to show up on the earthquake maps - but here's a link, and the info from there:

http://www.iris.edu/seismon/

Click on the red circle hovering over the Gulf of Thailand and you'll get the following information:

Last 2 Weeks of Earthquakes

(within 10 degrees of LON=100.14, LAT=11.82)

DATE links are into the IRIS WILBER system where you can see seismograms and request datasets.

DATE 07-OCT-2006 21:12:30

LAT 11.82

LON 100.14

MAG 5.0

DEPTH 35.0

REGION GULF OF THAILAND

Didn't feel a thing

Bought a new SIM yesterday and the first "wrong number' calls came

in between 3.30 and 4.00 so I was awake (KSR area).

Miss a coup d'etat by a few days and now I didn't notice my first
