Did the FR have a good reputation then? All comments welcome. I have bought one recently - 2005, same description except 2.5L - one owner, 8 mths old, 19000km as new condition. I paid 360000B. I wanted a Toyota but this deal seemed good, so I went with it. The open cab and 2+ years manufacturer's warranty remaining were bonuses. My reactions? Well it is basic in some areas - no bells and whistles. My major criticism is that the second gear is mismatched - it is too high to be of much use, so that on a VERY steep climb - and I have a long one on a major road near where I live - I have to get down into first gear to negotiate it - other pickups do it in second gear. I think a slight underpower issue also contibutes here. Overall though I am very pleased. It is comfortable and drives mostly like a car. Don't believe the spiel on fuel comsumption though - not 15 - think of 10-11 km per l.

teej Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 4WD right mijan? I think 400K is too expensive. Just having a browse around used car sites and almost every one is under 400K.... I'd say 350 good deal for you, 400 good deal for him....

Plus Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 I don't think Ford had 3l engines in 2004. Check that again. If it's the seller who mentioned it - beware.
