Cheapest slip on cbr250r

Featured Replies

Anyone know the guys on Facebook or anywhere in bkk selling these "cheap", ?

(Thai copy of a famous brand would be fine)

Anything with a decent rumble sound will do better than the stock

Can order online from abroad but rather get in Thai if can something like below at similar money :

https://www.dan-moto.com/DM_INT/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=18_19_165&zenid=ek2avdilpcne4r3budiot2g0f0

Expect the exhaust packing and exterior to burn within the first 3 months.

The inner tube to become loose and rattle at various RPM's within 6.

Rivets to pop out within 9.

You to wish you bought a decent one somewhere in between.

Is there any Thai brand you would recommend?

Danmoto seems built OK for for $75-$120 in stainless steel from users on the cbr forums but there's a high chance of being raped by customs on an item like an aftermarket exhaust so a Thai domestic one would be better..

I had an exhaust shipped in by DHL, from the manufacturer in the UK to my house in Thailand, took about 2 days, the customs and tax was about 900 baht.

Get them to mark it as a gift.

Addressed to any Thai person living at your house.

yes if its just 1 item, mark as GIFT or SAMPLE and they usually wont rape you on the taxes.

or avoid it altogether.... have the item shipped to a friend locally back home, and then they rebox it in an unmarked non-commercial package and mail that to you via normal post, labeled as gift. zero tax.... have done this a few times with various items.

its when they see multiples of the same/similar items in a box, they assume you are importing them in order to re-sell them... thats when they slam you with ridiculous taxes... happened to me once, customs officers wanted 17,500 baht taxes, fees, etc on an order that was only worth under 10,000 baht itself.

my friend here in pattaya purchased a slip-on from Burnout Exhaust

https://www.facebook.com/BurnoutExhaust/

the quality seems very good, it sounds excellent, fitment was spot on, and he has no complaints so far.... other than the occasional ticket for a modified exhaust ;)
