ais 12call

Featured Replies

Over the last couple of days my phone credit has suddenly been used. I topped up with 100 baht yesterday made one local call and now only have 8 baht credit, has anyone else had a similar problem or has someone been able to hack into my phone and are using credit.

You maybe activated your mobile data by mistake. A proper AIs shop might be able to tell you where the money went. Try the one in Central.

You should go into one of the many area AIS offices (most shopping malls). They will plug your SIM card into their computer and they will tell you where the credit was used. Likely data was activated or might be you activated some sort of service/pacakage.

Yes, likely data. You can check for yourself as well in the phone, by heart I think under settings.

Yes, had the same happening with my phone the other day. 3G was mysteriously activated and although I didn't use it I ended up paying for updates that secretly ran in the background. Google it for your type of telephone; easy to switch off.

The best solution is, call AIS help 1175 and they will explain how to disable the data connection. I am not 100% sure so don't quote me on it, but I believe one has to dial *129# as I said, not 100% sure.

After a travel outside Thailand when arriving here, somehow the data connection was activated, even with the data connection disabled on my phone.

If you want to enable the data connection later there is another number to dial.

Or on the telephone under settings, set 'data' to 'off'.

So better for the OP to contact AIS to make sure.

Many thanks to you all, yes it was activated somehow bit scary if you ask me, but the guys at Telewiz sorted it for me, suggest if you have a 12call pay as you go to watch your credit balance

Perhaps you use Line and/or Whatsapp. When you are not connected to WiFi and try to use one of these applications your telephone might ask you if you would like to enable data. Make sure you click 'no'. I think you can then also tick a box 'do not ask me again'.

Worst case would be an Android smartphone with mobile data on and automatic application update enabled any time (instead of off or WiFi only).

To be checked in PlayStore settings.
