I'm assuming you're thinking about the Nissan vs. the Ford, right Mijan? It is my understanding that the two cars are pretty much the same car, different badging.

That said, I'd say it comes down to repairs and service center availability/quality... can't speak on either really, but would guess that the ford people would be nice just because they are so desparate for customers...

I have that model, year and engine. It has never been back to the dealer for anything other than regular service. I also have 2002 Toyota 4X4 with the 3.0 liter engine. Recently I have put 1st class insurance on the Nissan so I now allow my wife to drive it. I had 3rd class insurance last year. She now hates to drive the Toyota. The Nissan has more power a smoother running engine, rides better and drives easier as well as being WAY more fuel efficient. I think the Nissan is underrated and the Toyota is overrated.

There is no doubt that the Toyota is a very good truck but IMHO the Nissan is the better vehicle. :o

Ford and Mazda are brothers and Chevy and Isuzu are brothers. Nissan has nothing to do with Ford.

I'm sure you will be well pleased with your Nissan. Let us know how you get along with it. I had a friend in Pattaya who followed me up to Loei in his Toyota. When we were both down to about a quarter tank of fuel we both topped off. It was then I appreciated the Nissan for its fuel economy. They both go about the same distance on a tank of fuel BUT the Toyota tank is a lot bigger. :D
