Do you know of any other good diy shops other than Home Pro.I,m looking for some fixings to go into plasterboard as trying to fix light fitting to ceiling.

can't remember the name of the giant home improvement store, (Thai Watsadu?) about 2/3 of the way to Cha Am, on the left side of the street (west).

there is a hardware store about 100 yards before the big c (heading out of town) in hua hin on the opposite side of the street. they have a lot of stuff in there, speak english and were very helpful.

Yes, correct name! Been there a number of times and way better than Homepro IMHO. Staff helpful and more hardware oriented than Homepro

Global has just open a new store in Pranburi, much much bigger than Home Pro. They more or less have everything for a house builder.

Also talking about new shops; Villa Market opens a new (extra) shop same building as Index in Hua Hin
