Have just noted that Barcelona take on Guangzhou Evergrande in Japan this evening, KO 1730 Thailand time.

Does anyone know if it's being shown in Thailand, and if so which channel/s

All the games appear to be on a channel called "PPTV" of which I've never heard.

It's also on Astro Supersport 2.

PPTV is listed as channel 46 on my True Gold package but there are no broadcasts listed on the guide. Only "Broadcast Trial", though there are two Thai hotties on right now with some Hi-So news. So, a crap shoot.

Channel 0036 on CTH too, but the hotties have given way to a couple of Thai guys rabbiting away to each other - oh - here come the hotties back again. Thanks Jelly.

Edit The FIFA WOrld Club Championship is showing 5pm today and 13:30 on 20th, according to a schedule advert that just appeared on screen after that cheap afternoon soap finished.

I was a tad drunk in a karaoke bar in Tokyo years ago. A lass wanted to take me home but my minder who looked a bit like Bolo gently put me in the car and saw me back to my room. He told me it was for my own good. By the sounds of it he was right

Gaungzouh Evergrande. Nevergrande against Barca. Stroll in the park even without Messi and Neymar - Asia still decades off the pace.

Riverplate final on Sunday at 17:30 might be a tad more interesting. The 13:30 time I reported above must have been the 3rd place pay-off - hopefully PPTV (maybe a more mainstream Thai public channel nabbed the final) will show the game, though it's a competition that has rarely caught the imagination beyond fans of the participants.

So Barca thrashed River Plate with goals from Messi and Cilla (2).

Hiroshima won what I assume was the 3/4 place play off with goals from that traditional Japanese striker, er, Douglas.
