90 Day Reporting - Comments and Experiences 2016

Hello,

I currently do not have a 90-day "Receipt of Notification" stapled into my passport. That's because I went to visit another country, and I haven't had to do 90-day report yet. When the time comes for another check-in, may I do it via mail? (I know I can't do it online this time, since it's my first one since returning).

Thanks,

HeyNow

If you're accustomed to filing the reports online, you shouldn't necessarily assume that you won't be able to do that again this time.

My last report came due roughly 160 days after the previous one, because I'd been out of the country for a month in between. Like you, I figured that the online option probably wouldn't work, since my arrival card and flight numbers wouldn't match those "in the system". I gave it a try anyway, and was pleasantly surprised to receive an approval notification just a few hours later.

Give it a shot a couple of weeks before your due date, and if you don't receive a timely approval, you'll still have time to mail it in or (gulp) show up at the Prom.

Good luck!

Foreign National Information Form

Anybody been required to provide this form for 90 Day reporting ?

Yes.

There is a box of blank forms just outside the office where you can pick them up.

A photo with a blue background is also required. That can be done at the photocopy shop next door.

What colour photo is required with the NI Form, I read white, then someone has now posted blue

In CM is it White or Blue

They require blue for re entry plus Extrensions

You may as well get more copies of what you need

Buy more become cheaper

Unless you have any unused different colour background photos

IMHO

I went to the Promenada office yesterday to hand in my 90-day report (along with the Foreign National Information Form) and no one asked me for a picture. There is a space on the form to attach a picture, but it's not mandatory. I think it would be rather silly to ask us for a picture every three months. What's next...provide them with our height measurements every three months too??

This morning the screener girl asked me for a photo for the FNI form. I asked "blue or white"? I had both. She chose white like the form says

but I don't think it mattered.

So how's the new form going to work with online reporting, dare I ask?

555 weight every 90 would be interesting though ;)

Hello, I scanned through this topic first before posting this question. During my last visit to the prom imm office I asked about 90-day reporting ever starting up again at the airport imm office (I can walk there so easier). The officer doing my visa work told me both locations handle 90-day reporting now. My question is, has anyone used the airport office for their 90-day reporting in person, recently?

Thanks in advance.

Well I decided to go over to the airport office to check for myself and was surprised to see that they're doing the 90-day reports again. Last time I tried it there they told me to go to the Prom branch and handed me a map to where it was. Today I walked in, got in the 5 person line and was processed through and back out in 20 minutes total.;)

Went to do my 90 Day report at the Airport Office this morning at 10:00.

Parking lot was full so had to park across the road in what looks like a convention center, plenty of room there but 20 baht to park.

Inside the office a heaving mass of humanity, no ticket number board that I could see.

No tickets for 90 days (maybe they had all been handed out already), just mill around and try and catch the old guy's (Happy Harry) attention on the 90 Day/ Re-Entry desk. Intern later told me he doesn't speak English, ideal man for the job!!

Went to see an intern on the center of the main desk.

She quickly checked the paperwork and gave it to the old guy who didn't appear to check anything other than the date before entering some data into the computer and giving me back my passport and next reporting date slip.

Left by 11:00.

A lot easier than Promenada and no need to arrive at dawn break.

The goal posts keep moving on what, and where, you can do these mundane chores."Happy Harry" is the guy that sent me packing once when my mail in had not been returned and I was just trying to find out where it was. While he was flapping his arms  around and telling me to go to Promenada the young girl on the computer found my application ,processed it and handed it to me with a smile. He is a huge asset to CM Imm.

Sparkles,  Yes, I recall your post about that, but I've since found "Harry" amenable.  Yes, Harry has no doubt reached his level of incompetence, but generally does little harm because there are usually assistants there.  Actually, to do what he does all day long would make anyone braindead!

I agree with you

BUT he is getting paid for this job

Get it right the first time has always been the correct term!

It's a bit late to ask the old guy to do his job properly when he's already retired once but they went and dug him up again as they were short staffed.   He's already past his 'best' by about 25 years and has no real interest in what he's doing, he just makes up the numbers !

Be very careful new upgrade regulation 90 days reporting, its easy now to become a criminal in Thailand if you're not careful.
Seven years I have been doing 90 day reporting at airport customs, but one guy that works in the Office in another building come to the desk, because the old one finger typist was having problems, as no one was moving and getting anything done . The new custom guy would not allow the person before me to do he's reporting, and showed him a new document that I had never seen, the officer said to the guy in front of me, you have one of these documents, the guy in front of me replied no and had to leaves.
And then it came to me the custom official told me do have one of these, I looked at it. Something about proof of address, so I reply I have my rental agreement in the car, he said no no no no good, the official explain to me I must go out the back to the other customs office and pick up a form, send it to my landlord have him sign and fill it in and return it to the customs department. The officers say bring it back to him that works in one of the offices out the back, behind the new renovated front office.
Well I went and got one from the office he told me about, but well I thought by the time I send it to my landlord in Bangkok and get him to send it back to me I would be over the 90 days then be a legal Alien.  So I thought maybe this local guy was having a bad day, you cannot help bad luck.
Imagine turning up on your last Visa day on Friday before the weekend and you are driving home get pulled up by a policeman, that wants to look at your passport, no Visa go straight into to the immigration jail worse then hell.
So I took a quick drive to the second custom establishment you know on the bottom floor the new shopping Centre off superhighway 11.
I was able to do my 90 day reporting with a smile this time, yes there is a new form at the other office place you must do,
There is now new custom upgrade by the way this new 90 day reporting form plus the old form, so there is 2 customs forms now, but at the new department in the shopping centre the form they gave me was not the same form that the official gave me at Air Port customs.
This form I did not have to send it to my landlord in Bangkok and wait for him to send it back to Chiang Mai, the second new upgrade form is simple easy, you can do it very quickly, but it looks like it's only going to get tougher and soon you will have to take along a passport photo of yourself every 90 days also.

I cannot understand why you people make a 4 course meal of things when you deal with immigration.

Today at 1.00 afternoon I went to the promenada to do my 90 day report. In the photograph and photocopying shop next door to immigration I had my mug shot taken with a white background to attach to the new where do I socialise form. Already had the form printed out and signed that I downloaded online. Took my passport, a copy of my passport, copy of my JB arrival form and the TM47 form, all signed and dated that I completed at home before leaving for immigration. Went to the top floor and the new posh G4T agency shop. Handed over all my stuff to the pretty girls with the cute smiles, short skirts and long legs, paid 300 baht, all done in 7 minutes flat. Went for a lovely meal at the Dukes and then a slow and relaxed ride home on my motorbike.

I think many of you people cause your own problems because you fail to do your own research beforehand as to what paperwork is required. TV is loaded with all the details if you can be bothered to look and have the forms for downloading as well, thank you Tywais.

cyberfarang you got ripped off at Promenada you don't have to go upstairs and pay any money, 90 day check in is free, only took me 2 minutes in the Thai customs department, I did not have to go all the way upstairs and take any mugshots photograph and pay and get ripped off also, I only was there for about two minutes, maybe one minute is needed to be spent in the customs Department and 90 days it's free, buyer be where.

Of course, you could avoid immgration altogether by simply doing 90 day report  either online or by post.  Buyer be where? At home or down the pub, but certainy not at immigration.

What do you mean; only 2 minutes in the customs department?

I don`t care, I prefer to let other people do all the running about for me for only 300 baht. You do require a photo for the new form. I have never been asked for proof of address when making my 90 day reports, so I have no idea what you`re on about.

Online has never worked for me and at one time my receipt was not returned when I posted in my report.
