Bus To Bangkok (ekkamai)

Featured Replies

I have to make a couple of day trips to Bangkok.

I know there's a bus that goes to the Ekkamai sky train station.

Is this the only Bangkok bus?

How often do these buses run? When do they start in the morning?

If I just show up at the bus terminal, am I likely to get the next bus?

Any info is appreciated.

Buses also depart to Morchit in northern Bangkok (used to be the best bet for the airport - but obviously not now). To Ekamai buses depart approx. every half hour, but if there are lots of people they will put on an extra one. Just turn up - you will usually get on a bus within 15 - 20 mins except on days when lots of people are travelling (Songkran, elections etc.)

Throughout the day, buses leave at approximately 30 minute intervals, but early in the morning 6-8 am. they leave every 20 minutes.

Just turn up: I have never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus to leave Pattaya North Bus station.

Can anyone tell me

1) how long the bus takes to get from Pattaya to Bangkok

2) What time is the last bus to return from Bangkok to Pattaya

3) What is the price

Thank you for the information in advance

edit was to add question 3

Bus to Bangkok.

Wasn't that an old Midnight Oil song?

1. Pattaya - Bangkok: Allow 2 1/2 hrs.

2. Sorry, I don't know, as I have never used it myself in the evening.

3. One way fare is 121 baht.
