BANGKOK, 18 January 2016 (NNT)-Many tourists are flocking to see the cherry blossoms that are blooming in Chiang Rai at this time of year.

Visitors have traveled to Wiangkan district to see these pink flowers, which are also known as Thai Sakura. The icy weather in the province at this time of year also attracts a large number of tourists from all over the country, looking for a genuine winter experience.

The Watershed Management Unit of Ngao will continue to allow people to take photos and enjoy the sight of these beautiful cherry blossoms until early next month.

They are advised to travel to the Watershed Management Headquarters either via Phu Chi Fa or Wiangkan district, which is only 2 kilometers away.

What kind of person " flocks" anywhere to see flowers ?

In the North East of USA every year there is a huge tourist industry based on looking at dried out leaves. Edited by arunsakda
