Tourists flock to Chiang Rai to see beautiful cherry blossoms

BANGKOK, 18 January 2016 (NNT)-Many tourists are flocking to see the cherry blossoms that are blooming in Chiang Rai at this time of year.

Visitors have traveled to Wiangkan district to see these pink flowers, which are also known as Thai Sakura. The icy weather in the province at this time of year also attracts a large number of tourists from all over the country, looking for a genuine winter experience.

The Watershed Management Unit of Ngao will continue to allow people to take photos and enjoy the sight of these beautiful cherry blossoms until early next month.

They are advised to travel to the Watershed Management Headquarters either via Phu Chi Fa or Wiangkan district, which is only 2 kilometers away.

Saw a few trees up on Doi Tung the other day. Got this shot with the iPhone.

I like this climber, noticed it last week.

Anyone know what it is?

Lom Lo (petchabun) is another place with cherry blossoms. Access may be difficult. Great for motorcycles.
