One Touch Ultra testing strips

Featured Replies

Hello

I am in Cha Am and went to 2 pharmacies looking for OneTouch Ultra testing strips for my glucose monitor and they wanted 1300B for a 2 pack of 25's.

This is a lot more than I pay in my home country and I wonder if this is the going price for them here.

Does anyone know if BKK or Hua Hin would be less?

Thank you in advance

I can't comment on this specific product but any imported goods here are usually more expensive than back home due to taxes.

I can't imagine the price would be significantly different depending on location.

This is not the normal test strip sold here so expect will be even more expensive than some - but all are quite expensive as there is very little self testing market here to keep price low by quantity sales.

400 baht here for a box of 25 strips in Bangkok . Not a very accurate meter I find ..

Every hospital I've been in in Thailand - and believe me, I've been in quite a few - have all used One Touch to check my BS levels. Admittedly, they were all private hospitals.

I used One Touch Ultra for years, but I got fed up with the high cost of the test strips and I switched to a Thai brand - Easy G which is much cheaper. I paid for the cost of the new meter in a few months by the savings on the strips. I keep my One Touch as a backup and I also checked the new meter against the old and it was pretty much the same.

But as they say... it's up to you...smile.png

About 1250 Baht for 50 strips in BKK and Pattaya....Very good strips but kind of expensive..
