My 5 year old Plasma (bought and manufactured here) has started to display a vertical line down the middle approx 1 pixel wide (see photo).

It's out of warranty and Thai Panasonic Customer Service are not interested.

Anyone else had this problem and know of possible cause/solution before I haul it down to the repair shop ?

Google reports possible manufacturing defect.

Step one is to see if there's a workaround I guess.

Have you tried using different sources and different HDMI ports?

Tried it over analog video connections?
