Help with selecting a new cheap-ish phone.

Featured Replies

My Iphone 4 just broke and in need of a smartphone while I'm here in Bangkok. Not really looking for something more than $100.

Saw this guy at an IT mall today for about $70:

I don't know anything about phones so not sure if these are decent stats.

Would it be good enough to do daily stuff?

Any suggestions of other smartphones for the price?

Thanks in advance!

If you buy a cheap Chinese phone, be prepared for viruses. Do not send anything to yours or any other person's email account.

Well thanks for the lack of help so far...

Look on lazada at a phone called Aston infinite 2, you can't go wrong for 2,990 baht, has 89 ratings at 4.5 star, look for a code you will get either 5 or 7% off and free delivery.

You also can get a not so lastest model Samsung.

For a $100 model even second hand prob not worth having.

For your limited budget you might consider the Samsung Galaxy Ace. You'll probably experience the discomfort of crucifixion but all depends on your pain threshold.

Since decent smart phones normally ten times your budget I think your pushing poo uphill, that's new of course and closer to top end, they very secure and safe and more than likely last a very long time, why not head over to paragon to the Apple Store and see if they can fix ur old 4 or perhaps have a superseded model which normally Apple stores carry of old stock. You might even find Apple will swap your 4 for a refurbished 4 might cost you double your budget but I'm sure you will be much happier than buying some piece of what would be junk at that budget.

Samsung $500 baht! I just replaced my first one after 4 years. My wife decided to do the laundry and forgot to empty my pockets!

great phone though! You'll never regret buying one!

Found one!

For future people researching this, look into the Zenfone line. Starting at just above $100 there are a few models.

This is the one I settled for:

Amazing phone for the price!

A good choice but a bit more than the $100 you stated.

Yeah, thought I would pay the extra $30 bucks for the included warranty.
