salbutamol nebules

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone can tell me if it possible to get salbutamol nebules OTC in Bangkok or Phuket as my family is currently visiting these places or is a prescription required.

Salbutamol is OTC in Thailand.

You may have some trouble finding it in nebule form, though. It exists but more commonly sold as a disposable hand held nebulizer.

Thanks any idea if the main chemists i.e boots etc sell it?

Boots etc have very limited medications and are usually not the best source. Go to a regular pharmacy -- a large place selling mostly drugs, not cosmetics. There are many of them in Bangkok, and best to source it there as may be harder to find in Phuket.

There is a large pharmacy on Sukhumvit around Soi 2 (sort of opposite the expressway entrance). Also several on Ratchatewi near Victory Monument, opposite the hospital.

In Phuket, there is a very good local Pharmacy on the corner of Thalang and Phuket Road. When I need something a bit unusual, I have usually gotten it there. The young lady Pharmacist is very knowledgeable and speaks good English. I believe their number is +66 (0)76 211 116.

Another good possibility is the Supercheap Pharmacy on Wirat Hongyok Rd, next to Naka Market. Both are in Phuket town.
