ilikehd tv.....picture format

Featured Replies

Hi, just trying out ilikehd tv and noticing that a lot of the channels are not playing in widescreen format. As far as I can see there is no way to change from 4:3 to 16:9. Anyone else having the same problem?

Using an android computer stick in a widescreen tv.

Thanks for reading.

As a follow up started watching on my netbook and the channels are displaying fine so appears to be a glitch using the stick computer with the tv. After another look I'm still unable to find anyway to change the format.

Check on the TV remote. There should the options of 4:3, 16:9 and several zoom sizes.

Thanks for the reply.

There is but having to go into the menu to change format when I want to watch some channels is a bit of a pain.

TV is set to 16:9 but still some channels display as 4:3.....weird.

Just wondering if there is a single setting for display format that fixes the problem.

I find the same problem with YouTube at times. Having to change the resolution with your remote is a little bothersome but it's an instant, easy fix. When you log into ilikehd do you choose the "Big TV" option? That might fix the problem.

I have 3 android devices for 3 tvs for watching iliketv. Lately i seem to be only allowed to have one device logged on at a time.

Any way around this?

3 individual subscriptions.

You change the screen using the Android remote control

Yes i can have 3 individual subscriptions, but im the only one that watches the farang stuff.

My wife only watches the free to air Thai stuff.

This wasnt a problem until or satellite dish suffered wind dammage, now usìng the android remote is a challenge for her, so to add more accounts just makes it harder.

You can log on to Google on more than one device at a time with the same credentials, its doable.

Anyway thaivisa moderator said its illegal, so I'll have to set up 2 more accounts as the sstellite guy has been coming for the last 2 weeks but never got here yet.

As a follow up to my OP.

Just found the ilikehd app and problem solved :)

Very easy to use and seems to work better than using it either within Windows or Android browsers.

I use iLikeTV with Ipad/PC/Smart TV, I found with windows and Ipad the picture quality is better than Smart Tv, (in some cases). Plus the other big issue with the samrt Tv is the interface it can take several minutes to logon and I have had the screen freeze so had to start again, I generally only use it for Moive or EPL
